Kni-co started in a small shop owned by Ted Knight (hence the name Kni-co) in 1981. Ted hand made the stoves using tools that he had also designed and built. He used a cylinder from a chain saw to create an electric hemming tool. He also used an air-brake can from a truck to build his dimpling tool, that we still use today. In 2000 Robert Burns bought the company from Ted. Since then, we have added many pieces of updated equipment (including a CNC Laser cutting table), a larger building and now have 7 employees. We have also added many new stoves and other products.
